Online TEFL Courses

1. Please read these terms carefully before you submit your order to us.

1.1. Our TEFL courses provide digital course content. When you complete the course you will receive an e-certificate.

1.2. You understand that you must either complete the TEFL online course within the allotted time of 4 months or purchase a course extension details of which can be found in Appendix 1.

2. If we have to contact you we will do so by telephone or by writing to you at the email address or postal address you provided to us in your order.

3. Our contract with you

3.1. Our acceptance of your order will take place when we email you to accept it with an Order Confirmation email at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us.

3.2. We will assign an order number to your order and tell you what it is when we accept your order. It will help us if you can tell us the order number whenever you contact us about your order.

3.3. Native English speakers have sufficient language level to take the online TEFL course. For non-native speakers we recommend a minimum of B2 level of English to complete this course. If your level of English is below B2 level we recommend you improve your level before purchasing the course. We cannot refund you on the basis of your level of English.

3.4. The minimum age to take the online TEFL course is 16 years of age at date of purchase.

4. Our rights to make changes

4.1. Minor changes to the TEFL courses. We may change the TEFL course to implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address a software security threat. These changes will not affect your experience of the TEFL course. We may also update the course structure, content or syllabus in accordance with what we in our judgment consider to be best practice.

4.2. Updates to digital content. We may update or require you to update digital content, provided that the digital content shall always match the description of it that we provided to you before you bought it.

5. Changes to your booking. You have 14 days after the day we confirm your order by email to change your mind. However, the 14 day period does not apply once you have logged into your online course. Once you log into your online course you cannot request a refund.

6. If a refund is due, we will use the method you used for payment and will refund you within 14 days.

7. To the extent that your TEFL course is digital content, for example our TEFL course content, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality: if your digital content is faulty, you’re entitled to a repair or a replacement. If the fault can’t be fixed, or if it hasn’t been fixed within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, you can get some or all of your money back. if you can show the fault has damaged your device and we haven’t used reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a repair or compensation.

8. You agree that photographs, recorded or written testimonials and other works may be used, stored or transferred internationally by BSC, or by a third-party agent, for promotional purposes including printed and online marketing materials and on any social media network without further consent or notification. 

9. Price and payment

9.1. The price of the TEFL online course (which includes VAT) will be the price as told to you over the telephone or set out on our website or told to you in the TEFL course of email exchanges.

9.2. We accept payment with Visa, MasterCard, PayPal and bank transfer. You must pay for the TEFL courses at the time you order them.

9.3. We reserve the right to change our course prices or other services on our website at any time.

10. We are not liable for business losses. We only supply the TEFL courses for domestic and private use. If you use the TEFL courses for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

10.1. We do not accept liability for any loss or additional expense caused by delay or interruption to travel services, weather conditions, civil disturbance, industrial action, strikes, wars, floods, sickness or force majeure. Such losses or additional expenses are your responsibility. Force majeure represents unusual and unforeseeable circumstances such as war or the threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions.

10.2. We do not accept responsibility or liability for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the student or any other person included on the booking. Any claims shall be subject to English law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings shall be within the sole domain of the English courts.

11. How we may use your personal information. We will only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy. You can find our Privacy Policy here.

12. These terms are governed by English law and is subject to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
