What is a Pathway course?

A pathway course is a course that is taken before applying to university. These are often taken by international students who would like to improve their grades and English proficiency before enrolling at university in an English speaking country.

If you successfully complete a pathway course at British Study Centres, you'll also be guaranteed a place at one of our partner universities.

How does a Pathway course work?

  1. Contact British Study Centres and apply for the course (you'll need a high school diploma and English proficiency qualification such as the IELTS).
  2. Your course begins (either online or at our study centre in London).
  3. You'll take modules that improve your knowledge of the western university system and enhance your academic English.
  4. With help from our expert team, you'll apply to do your degree at one of our partner institutions.
  5. You start a university degree in the subject of your choice!
