This course is the best option for students who don’t meet the entry requirements for the Standard International Foundation Year programme as they will do 8 weeks of pre-sessional English prior to commencing the International Foundation Year.

Why study the extended foundation year?

Some students may wish to start the International Foundation Year in October but don't have minimum IELTS score. This course is specially designed for students to complete 8 weeks of Pre-Sessional English before the course commences to get their language level where it needs to be to start the course. The International Foundation Year opens up many opportunities and guarantees entry to a UK university. Many students find taking a foundation year to be incredibly beneficial for reasons including:
