Build the skills you need to pass the OET test and further your career in healthcare.
Now you can prepare for the OET (Occupational English Test) online with British Study Centres. Our Premium Preparation Provider course allows you to access the same high-quality, dynamic content that you would find in our UK schools from the comfort of your home. Lessons are delivered via live tutorials with our expert teachers using the latest video-conferencing software.
Our one-week, intensive course will help you with the specific skills you need to pass the OET exam. Each lesson includes skills practice and exam practice to help you build the skills you need to succeed in your test and that you can take with you into the workplace.
Our communicative approach will give you the opportunity to work with other learners from around the world in the live lessons as you analyse and build your language skills ready for the test. We also use a flipped classroom approach with certain tasks (such as writing) so learners can maximise the time spent in the virtual classroom. Learners are then ready for discussion and feedback in the live sessions with the teacher and fellow students.
OET is used all over the world to assess the medical English skills of healthcare professionals. Leading medical organisations in the UK and Ireland recognize the OET results when looking to employ healthcare workers.

OET is an English language test for healthcare professionals. It is not a test of medical knowledge. The purpose of the test is to assess your understanding of English in a healthcare context. You will then be able to use these skills when working in healthcare in the UK and Ireland.
The test has four parts: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Each part of the test assesses your understanding of English in a professional healthcare context. The speaking and writing sub-tests are specific to your profession, for example nursing, and are based on real-life work place situations.
