A short walk from our BSC Edinburgh school lies a fanfare of festivities. This popular Christmas Market in Scotland has rides (fairground attractions), an ice rink and market stalls offering mulled wine, traditional foods and seasonal treats. Lose yourself in the Christmas Tree Maze with the beautiful Edinburgh Castle overlooking above.  Edinburgh’s Christmas Market is open until 4th January, 2020 so there is plenty of time to visit!

Experience Christmas in the capital at Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland. Notably the largest Christmas Market on our list, we recommend spending a whole day at Winter Wonderland so you can explore the entire space. With so many attractions to see we recommend paying a visit to the Bavarian Village, Thor’s Tipi Bar and the many Christmas Market stalls. Open until 5th January.

If you want a quintessentially British festive experience, York’s Christmas Market, St Nicholas Fair, showcases the very best of Yorkshire produce at the Made in Yorkshire Yuletide Village. Celebrate local crafters and makers and pick up a handmade Christmas gift before enjoying some roasted chestnuts and mulled wine. Make sure to plan your visit soon, as it’s only open until 22nd December.

Another traditional Christmas Market, Oxford’s historic architecture makes the perfect backdrop for Christmas Carolling. The Oxford Christmas Market celebrates 10 years this in 2019, so expect to see artisanal gifts and festive foods. Visit Oxford Christmas Market between 5th and 21st December.

Opening our newest school, BSC Dublin, means we have a brand new Christmas Market to explore! Unlike the markets already spoken about, Dublin has lots of smaller Christmas Markets rather than one central one, which means you can visit a different one each week. From Christmas at the Castle to Christmas Market on the Green (only on Sundays), discover all the Dublin Christmas Fairs you can visit.
