Cadbury's Chocolate Factory Trip

If you love chocolate don’t miss a trip to the home of the chocolate bar and the world’s most famous chocolate factory, Cadbury. Cadbury is the second biggest chocolate company in the world, and very much a part of British culture. You can visit the museum and see how chocolate is made, as well as learn the history of the chocolate bar and the company. While you are studying at our schools in Bouremouth, Brighton, London or Oxford Cadbury World is less than two hours away, and you can visit Birmingham, the UK’s second largest city, at the same time. Sabino, who is studying at BSC Bournemouth has just visited Cadbury World, and here is what he had to say:

I am Sabino and I come from Italy. During my stay in Bournemouth I have had the opportunity to go to Cadbury World. We arrived at the chocoloate factory and suddenly we saw that everywhere there was chocolate. It was very busy – families with kids, group of guys and everyone was excited to be there; this is the very power of the chocolate 🙂 We paid around £11 each for the ticket which includes a tour. It is a very nice and amazing tour because at the beginning it explains the origin of chocolate and the story that made the factory one of most important factories in the world, but all the stories are explaned in a funny way. During the tour you can see how the factory produces the chocolate and at the same time they give you some. When I finished the tour I was very full and I promised to myself not to eat more chocolate for the next month; of course I didn’t and the next day I ate all the chocolate that I bought, it was lovely. During the tour there was a lot of entertainment, a little and funny train that takes you in a small route with cartoon and chocolate everywhere. You can even take amusing photos of yourself submerged in chocolate.

We enjoyed it a lot because is a different and funny way to pass a day and I encourage everyone, if have the chance, to take the opportunity and go in this amazing world. I must thank Joe [social activities director], a very nice guy who works at the school, because he recommended me this wonderful place.
