BSC Oxford Opens New Study Centre – The Den!

Recently British Study Centres Oxford has been proud to announce the opening of our newly branded study centre, The Den.

Our resources managers Sarah, Anna, Leda and Helen have worked extremely hard to revamp the selection of self-study materials including grammar and vocabulary books, and exam preparation materials for IELTS, CAE. FCE, TOEFL and TOEIC. They have been tirelessly creating new worksheets for self-study and language practice as well as buying new resources such as a large selection of DVDs, library books for reading for pleasure, magazines and more!

We now operate a daily drop-in session each afternoon where a teacher will be available to answer any questions and help guide students to the right books for them! Of course, students are free to use The Den at any time – it’s open all day!

We’ve made The Den bright and comfortable with comfy bean bags for sitting and relaxing on while leafing through an English magazine, or chatting in English to fellow student. The Den is on the fourth floor of our city centre school building, and with large full height windows you can even just sit and enjoy the magnificent views of Oxford’s world-famous dreaming spires!

There are computers in The Den with some brilliant self-study websites available to use in order to practice your English grammar, writing, vocabulary or even your pronunciation! Just ask one of the drop-in teachers to show you how.

There are TV/DVD players there too with headphones so that you can sit and watch an old favourite, or a new movie, in English for that valuable exposure to the language that you need!

Welcome to The Den and welcome to British Study centres in Oxford!

– Niko, School Director, BSC Oxford
