CLIL for Secondary and University Teachers
A 2-week full-time programme which explores the methodology of teaching other subjects through the medium of English language. Input sessions include exploiting texts, evaluating and adapting published materials as well as language improvement. All participants are asked to prepare and deliver micro-lessons as part of the course.
Assessment: no formal assessment but participants must attend at least 85% of the sessions. A cultural social programme is also available to join.
An Introduction to Grammar
A 10 hour course designed to raise your awareness of grammar in preparation for participating on the CELTA course. On the course we look at the basic terminology of grammar, parts of speech, and how the past, present and future is expressed in English. This knowledge will enable you to start on the CELTA course with confidence in the grammar that you need - and if you sign up for a CELTA course here at British Studies Centres the full cost is offset against the CELTA fees.
Advanced Grammar
A 15 hour course designed specifically for practising teachers who want to deepen their knowledge of English Grammar. Particularly helpful for teachers who are taking or intend to take the DELTA course. On the course we look at such areas as Time, Tense and Aspect; Modality, Conditionals and Discourse Analysis.

BSC Oxford is happy to design and deliver specific methodology and language courses for teachers and trainers, either in oxford or abroad.
