Overseas Teacher Refresher Courses

Courses intended for non-native speakers with experience of teaching English as a foreign language or who have gained a teaching qualification in their own country and are involved in ELT.

Our courses are multinational, bringing together teachers from many different countries and offering participants the opportunity to share teaching ideas and experiences with colleagues from other cultures. Participants should have an English level appropriate for the course they wish to follow.

Primary Methodology & Language »

Intensive 2-week course for non-native English teachers, teacher trainers and inspectors focused on the principles and practice of teaching to young learners aged 6-11.

Advanced Language & Methodology »

Intensive 2-week course designed to raise and consolidate awareness of the principles and practice of teaching English to secondary school students and adult learners.

CLIL »

Intensive 2-week course aiming to clarify the concept of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and focusing on specific areas of language development for classroom management and instruction.

Technology in ELT »

Intensive 2-week course aiming to increase participants' knowledge and awareness of how technology can be used in English language teaching.

EU Comenius Funding

Up to €1700 Comenius funding is available from the European Commission to help teachers of English to follow accredited training courses.

Course Materials

All course materials are provided and included in course fees. At the end of the course you will leave armed with a file packed full of practical ideas that you can use when you return home and also share with your colleagues.

Social Programme

We have a vibrant and varied social programme and many events are free to join. There are also optional weekend trips. For some social programme events there is a charge.

Certification

All course participants receive a Certificate of Attendance and final report provided you have attended a minimum of 85% of the course.
