Meet our students
We believe the best reflection of our school is how our students feel. We are happy and successful only when they are happy and successful. Below are some of our past students' testimonials.
Kudret - Turkey.
Hi, I'm Kudret from Turkey. I've been here for eight months and it's amazing that I've learnt lots and seen further improvement rapidly. The teachers are tactful, lovely, easy-going, friendly and perceptive and have experience and necessary qualifications for teaching.
The most enjoyable thing is you can meet a lot of people and have friends from different countries and cultures. If you want top do a different, informative, fascinating English course, go for it, come here and join us.
Daniel - Brazil.
First of all, I'd like to say the opportunity of writing about my experience in the British Study Centre is a great honour. Definitely, this school deserves the logo 'Thinking in English'! I not only learnt English, but also the culture and lifestyle of the British people.
In the classes I had a fantastic time with gregarious classmates and competent teachers. Besides the fact, I could always count on great support from the school's staff. I'm really glad to have had this experience and just wanted to say a big thank you to the British Study Centre!
Julie - France.
My stay in Oxford has been a very enriching experience. Thanks to the British Study Centre I spent three fantastic weeks. The staff is composed of really dynamic qualified and pleasant teachers so as to make you feel good and relaxed. I met a lot of students from different countries and cultures. I hope I’ll keep in touch with them and I wish to be able to come again in a British Study Centre next year.
Nick - Georgia.
Hi, I'm Nick. I come from Georgia. I've been studying at BSC for a year and a half. The first time I arrived at this school I was at elementary level but thanks to the excellent teachers I've made great progress and moved up to an advanced class. Thank you!
This year I am going on to study a master's in international relations at Brookes University and I couldn't have done it without BSC. Again, thank-you very much. The best thing about the school is that having extremely friendly and attentive staff makes students like to learn everything.
It is a nice place to stay and study. The school has good social activities. Oxford itself is a beautiful city with lots of old houses and museums. The nightlife is also very good and there are lots of lovely people around. I can safely say that there is never a dull moment at BSC and in Oxford respectively.
Melody - Taiwan.
My life was on the turning point when I first came to the UK. I wanted to study and do my advanced reserch here. First of all, I had to do the IELTS test which was the reason I was here.
First week was passing by so fast I couldn't even notice the lost of time. Truthfully speaking, I really learned a lot from the classes and I felt so happy when I found I still have so much to learn ahead. After IELTS test, I extended the classes to improve my academic writing. I was so impressive when I was acknowledged that I could have the private class and teachers really concerned about exactly what I needed.
In my opinion, BSC is taking every student seriously and teachers always do their best to make everyone improving his English. It is true that I enjoy the time in BSC. Because of this meaningful and enjoyable experience, I am very sure I have learned the skill and the approach of getting into the deeper spirit of English and make myself to have a impressive glance of the beauty of English behind the maganificent culture temple.
I am sure that I will always remember the warm help, kindness, caring, professional education and the good days here and be a part of BSC and make the use of the skills to develop my advanced study in the future. BSC is like a sweet home, friendly support, and the fresh start for a student far away from hometown to start a brand new life in the U.K..
Thank you, my new sweet home and families!! - Melody.

Osamu - Japan.
It is amazing for me to study English at British Study Centres in Oxford. There are really good things here for students. What I specially want to emphasize is the quality of the teachers. They are kind to all the students and are able to give students enormous knowledge. I praise their motivation of not only English but also life. They love teaching and enjoy their work. How terrific it is to learn English in this situation!
Adriana - Spain.
General English Programme
Hi, I'm Adriana from Spain I came to study in Oxford because studying English will be very useful for my future. I really like this school. It's well located in the centre of the city and the teachers are always very helpful and kind. They always answer my questions. The library is very useful for students to study and there are some interesting things in there. I would certainly recommend the Oxford school to any of my friends.
Jean Charles - Cote D'Ivoire.
General English Programme
My name is Jean Charles and I come from Cote D'Ivoire in Africa. I need to study English because I'm going to do a post grad in Finance studies in England. I think this school is very nice because the teachers are interesting and friendly. My host family is very nice and friendly too. In the future I would like to move to a student house to mix with more students and find the best pubs! There are also computers here with Internet and e-mail and that is good because we can talk to our friends and family easily. In fact I e-mailed my cousin yesterday to tell him to come to this school!
Jaqueline - Holland.
I'm Jaqueline Verhagen from the south of the Netherlands and I'm 18 years old. I've wanted to study in England as I want to improve my vocabulary and to speak and listen better in English. In my course I study General English which has a strong focus on speaking, listening and vocabulary and on two afternoons a week I also study Communication and Culture which compares the British culture to ours. My host family is friendly and I live 2 minutes from the school which is ideal. It's a good option to live with a family because you can talk to native speakers. There are many other ways to improve your English here. You can use the study centre for reading and listening and also study English on the computer.
You can never get bored at British Study Centres, Oxford, as there are many different activities such as punting, tours of Oxford, weekend trips and many others. The pub crawl is great because you can discover the exciting night life of Oxford.
I've enjoyed the time here very much.
Tim - China.
Hi, I'm a foundation year student in British Study Centres for 9 months. The first time I came to BSC I found it was the right place I would like to spend time on, actually I quite like here because you can really have friends from different regions in the world, also this is a good chance for practice your oral English.
Next year I am going to enter a university; I am confident, maybe one of the reasons is that I have got the help from BSC. And so on there are lots of social activities here, if you get bored, just come to BSC and check the board which shows the program, and you will have great fun.
Honestly, Oxford is a nice place to study, you can find many libraries here, also some museums. I have joined the Centre Library, you can join for free, actually everything is inside.
