Free-time activities at BSC Oxford
Living in England gives students the perfect chance to experience British culture and practice their English. We have an extensive social programme that is designed to let students get the most out of their stay here.
We provide our students with a monthly social programme at the beginning of each month. Please take a look at our social activities programme - see what you could be getting up to in Oxford in May!
Oxford often has free activities in the town centre and parks. This day we helped to celebrate the launch of a new Oxford dictionary at a balloon launch.
100 students celebrated the Chinese New Year with traditional Chinese food, drink and gifts. The food was FANTASTIC!
Punting is very Oxford. Come summer, drinking Pimms and punting down the picturesque banks of Oxford's rivers and canals is the best way to relax and forget your troubles. As our students show below, punting techniques can vary wildly - ask the boat-keeper for some tips before heading off.
We celebrated Burns Night, the birthday of Robert Burns: poet, balladeer and Scotland's favourite son.
In a change to our regular international food parties, this halloween students and staff got dressed up in costumes.
To give you an idea of student life in BSC, we gave students cameras to photograph their life on Friday 25th July this summer. The photos are ordered from morning to night.

Each month we hold an international food party, where students cook and prepare food from their own countries for the other students to enjoy, that are very popular with students and staff alike.
