Family Programmes at Wycliffe College
We offer parents with children aged 8-16 years the opportunity to attend the college together and learn English at the same time during the summer months of July and August.
Family Programmes Include
- English language programme of your choice
- Full board residential en-suite accommodation
- Action-packed weekly activity programme: fully supervised activities every afternoon and evening (children)
- 2 excursions per week (children)
- Learning materials: file, use of academic course book and additional materials
- First day placement test
- End of course certificate
Daily Routine
Parents are taught separately in adult classes in the mornings while their children follow lessons with other young learners. In the afternoons and evenings, we recommend that children take part in the fully supervised programme of activities at the school.
Meanwhile, parents have the opportunity to explore the local area, an area of outstanding natural beauty, and having many of the UK's most visited destinations close by. The vibrant towns and cities of Bath, Cheltenham and Cirencester are all within easy reach and offer great destinations for an afternoon visit.
Residential Accommodation
Wycliffe College benefits from several high-standard boarding houses, all of them within the college grounds. Parents are accommodated in en-suite twin rooms in an independent house with well-equipped common rooms and kitchen while their children are lodged in a separate boarding house with other young learners having a full residential programme.
All meals are included for both parents and children and are taken in the school dining room except on excursion days when packed lunches are provided.
Activities
As part of the full residential programme, children can take part in all our fully supervised activities and excursions. These are optional activities and parents can choose to spend time with their children visiting the local area instead.
We can also offer parents the opportunity to join us on our half day and full day excursions each week (London, Bath, Cardiff, Stratford-upon-Avon etc). All excursions can be simply booked at the school, for a small charge, e.g. £20-£40.
