General English Plus Watersports J21W

Juniors who are passionate about windsurfing, kayaking and raft-building now have the chance to complement their English course with 3 afternoon watersports sessions.

Course Contents

09:00-12:30, 5 days a week: This course includes 15 hours of General English a week. We work with a specific short course syllabus, concentrating on the four main skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing.

We aim to improve young learners' confidence in the English language as quickly as possible. As well as these four main skills we will also work on other key areas to help develop fluency and accuracy - pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, idioms.

14:00-16:00: 3 afternoon sessions of watersports per week.

The magnificent Ardingly Reservoir is located within the school campus and only a 10 minute walk through attractive woodland.

Our watersports option includes tuition by experienced instructors from the Ardingly Activity Centre - a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and British Canoe Union (BCU) centre. The centre is also registered with the Adventurous Activities Authority (AALA) which means that it is regularly inspected for standards of instruction, facilities, equipment, and staffing.

Students can combine their English programme with afternoon tennis sessions and take full advantage of tennis courts and several experienced coaches!

14:00-16:00: 3 afternoon (morning at Peddie School) sessions of tennis per week.

The schools have fantastic tennis facilities including numerous quality tennis courts within the school campus. Our tennis option includes three sessions each week with students having structured tennis coaching by qualified Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) instructors.

Students will have the opportunity to experience horse riding in the beautiful countryside. All abilities and levels are catered for.

Afternoon: 6 hours of horse riding lessons across 2 or 3 sessions a week depending on centre.

Learn basic horse-riding skills or improve your existing skills with qualified riding instructors. Students have the opportunity to experience horse riding at local stables.

An exciting opportunity to to combine the learning of English with afternoon sessions of football coaching with the legendary Celtic FC and their coaching team.

14:00-16:00: 3 afternoon sessions of football coaching per week.

Football coaching includes technical sessions, tactical sessions, speed & agility routines, fun challenges, small sided games and a visit to the home of Celtic FC - Celtic Park, one of the biggest football stadiums in Europe.
