General English Plus Watersports J21W
Juniors who are passionate about windsurfing, kayaking and raft-building now have the chance to complement their English course with 3 afternoon watersports sessions.
Course Contents
09:00-12:30, Monday - Friday: This course includes 15 hours of General English a week. We work with a specific short course syllabus, concentrating on the four main skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing.
We aim to improve young learners' confidence in the English language as quickly as possible. As well as these four main skills we will also work on other key areas to help develop fluency and accuracy - pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, idioms.
14:00-16:00: 3 afternoon sessions of watersports per week.
The magnificent Ardingly Reservoir is located within the school campus and only a 10 minute walk through attractive woodland.
Our watersports option includes tuition by experienced instructors from the Ardingly Activity Centre - a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and British Canoe Union (BCU) centre. The centre is also registered with the Adventurous Activities Authority (AALA) which means that it is regularly inspected for standards of instruction, facilities, equipment, and staffing.
