Job Club at British Study Centres
The Job Club is a free service in the London and Brighton schools aiming to help students who are looking for a job in order to keep developing their English skills and to get some resources in order to support themselves while in the UK.
Looking for a job in London or Brighton?
At British study Centres we are aware of our students' needs and we want all students to make the most of their time with us. We understand that students should always prioritise their English studies, however we believe that a part-time job is perfectly compatible with studying at school, as long as the job hours fall outside normal class times.
Needless to say, the better your English, the better your chances. However, no matter your level of English we can help you find the right place for you!
We can help you to succeed!
- The Job Club meets every other Friday at the London and Brighton schools.
- We provide CV guidance: a member of our school team can check your CV so you feel confident when applying for a job.
- Good tips and advice: based on our experience we know what is needed to succeed. What to do to open bank account or to get your National Insurance number.
- Job hunting guidance: best areas in London and how to get ready for your interview.
- Up to date job offers: in the hospitality industry, retailing, High Street fashion shops and many others.

What our students say
My name is Alejandro Gonzalez and I have been studying at British Study Centres for almost 5 months. I come from Colombia where I graduated in Geology a couple of years ago.
To get a job in London is not easy if you arrive in winter but I started asking friends, classmates as well as attending the job club at the school, I think the last one was very helpful as a member of the staff checked my CV and gave me some goods tips and advice about how to get a job in London as well as some things that I did not know like how to get my NIN or where the nearest Job Centre was.
I got my first job after 1 month I started looking for it, this was with agency working as a waiter in a hotel. I will be going back home next month with the feeling that I achieved all my objectives in London.
Here is a tip: If you are looking for job ask friends, classmates, go to the job club in the school and always be optimist.
