This course includes 20 morning lessons per week (the same as the G20 course) and also two afternoon sessions per week where you have the opportunity to choose one of the following options:

Grammar & Writing
(available in London, Oxford and Brighton)
This course will help you to improve your grammatical accuracy and develop your writing skills. You will be able to plan the grammar areas and writing skills you need or would like to study with your teacher and other group members. Grammar areas chosen may include past, present and future tenses, conditionals, gerunds and infinitives, comparatives and superlatives. Writing areas may include essay structure, paragraphing, language register and context, sentence linking and appropriacy. This course is especially popular with students who wish to improve their written skills for their careers or for entry to a British university.

Wordpower
(available in London, Oxford and Brighton)
This is an integrated skills class aimed to improve your vocabulary and the way you discover, record and use new vocabulary. You will have lots of practice using new language and will focus on using known language correctly. We will reinforce new areas of vocabulary through a variety of skills work. The main focus will be on the accurate production of the language in terms of meaning, form and pronunciation, and vocabulary acquisition strategies. Areas covered may include: idioms, compounds, colloquialisms/slang, phrasal verbs, word-building, recording vocabulary, dictionary skills, easily confused words, metaphor, synonyms/antonyms, prepositions.

Business English
(available in London, Oxford and Brighton)
This course covers various aspects of working situations. It is also designed to widen your knowledge of specific vocabulary in a work context. You will cover all the skills but we focus more on speaking and listening. The main topics we cover are as follows: Job applications & interviews, advertising, marketing, making appointments, making decisions, dealing with enquiries and complaints, expressing opinions, agreeing and disagreeing, negotiating, meetings.

IELTS
(available in Brighton)
This course is designed to prepare you for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) examination, the ideal test if you need to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS scores are recognised by universities and colleges, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies. All the sections of the exam (reading, writing, listening and speaking) are covered in this course. We also aim to broaden cultural horizons by exposure to a range of authentic and topical materials.

Vocabulary & Pronunciation
(available in Brighton)
This course is very similar to the Wordpower course described above. In addition, it includes practice work on pronunciation.
