All of the schools are great fun to be around at the moment since it’s the busiest time of year and everyone is enjoying the height of the summer. It’s the international food party at BSC London! Everyone who came brought food from their own country… there was Thai, Colombian, German, Spanish, British, Belgian, Australian, Zambian, Austrian, Japanese, Kazakh and more! I’ve never seen such a mix of food in one place – check out the photos.

Apart from coming to learn and improve English what do visitors to Britain think of the British food? It appears to have a reputation everywhere – Bangers and Mash, Shepperd’s Pie, Fish and Chips… Does it make you think of the white cliffs of Dover, or ancient Stonehenge, the east end of London, or the ragged Munros (mountains) of the west coast of Scotland? Despite the reputation of British food…

…Shakespeare would never have written all those plays on an empty stomach – so British food can’t really be that bad. Let’s face it. You probably didn’t come all the way from your country to try British food. People travel to Italy or France to try their famous dishes but Britain is not one of the countries people visit to experience culinary wonders…
