Trip To The Natural History Museum Ice Rink

Bookmark and Share

It may be getting chillier, but in London that means there’s lots of new winter attractions and the city is starting to light up with Christmas decorations. And, of course, we have the Christmas party season just around the corner! As well as the Winter Wonderland German market / funfair in Hyde Park, in the last week a number of ice rinks have opened around London. Two of the most impressive ones are at Canary Wharf, beneath the glittering skyscrapers, and this one, by way of contrast, just outside the Natural History Museum. With a large Christmas tree in the centre, it will really get you in the Christmas spirit, as long as your only concern is not leaving while having to prise the Christmas tree needles from your coat. We went just a few days ago, and for some of the group is was their first time ice skating. After 50 minutes of excitement and smiles on our faces we finished the afternoon with a delicious hot chocolate at the café!
