St. Giles Fair @ BSC Oxford
BSC Oxford is in the midst of fairground fun this week! The annual St. Giles’ fair takes place every September right on our doorstep and this year’s fair is proving to be bigger and better than ever before!
Since Edwardian times the St Giles’ Fair has been held on the Monday and Tuesday following the first Sunday after St Giles’ Day (1 September).
Thousands of Oxford residents and students alike are sampling the hotdogs and candy floss, the traditional funfair rides such as the waltzers, roller coasters, ghost trains, pirate ships and other gravity-defying rides as we enjoy the last throes of the British summer.
BSC students can witness the fair taking place below their classrooms and we expect many of them to step outside and join the fun as soon as lessons have finished!
