Trip To Cuckmere Valley, Seven Sisters National Park
As part of the social programme, BSC Brighton set out to discover Cuckmere Valley which is situated in Seven Sisters Country Park, just a bus ride from Brighton. The Seven Sisters Country Park boasts stunning chalk cliffs, meandering river valleys and open chalk grassland. The Cuckmere Valley, an area of natural beauty that attracts 450,000 visitors per year, is nestled between Seaford and the iconic white cliffs of the Seven Sisters Country Park. Here the River Chuckmere meanders across green fields grazed by cows and sheep before sweeping into the English Channel. We were lucky enough to pick a wonderful autumn day and after a short walk past green fields in the valley we reached the beaches of the estuary. The low tide allowed us to explore the chalk cliffs from up close and provided us with fantastic views of the Seven Sisters stretching into the distance!
