Boat Party 2010!

Bookmark and Share

This summer saw the return of the annual British Study Centres Summer Boat Party and this year was our biggest and best party yet, with over 370 students and staff aboard. The boat began its journey at Tower Bridge and then continued its way along the Thames to Greenwich and back, providing a fantastic opportunity for students to see some of London’s most famous landmarks from the river. Sights such as The Tower of London, The London Eye and the opening of Tower Bridge, lit up by night, provided a fantastic back drop for the evening and many a photo opportunity.

The boat party offered both students and staff a chance to let their hair down for a night and to get to know each other out of the classroom environment, enjoying a glass of Pimms and a boogie on the dance floor. Those aboard danced the night away to classics by Beyonce and Queen as well as a variety of Salsa music which gave our Spanish and South American students a chance to demonstrate their skills on the dance floor.

The night was a huge success; the weather was great, the drinks were flowing and the dance floor buzzing! When the boat returned to Tower Bridge the excited guests were left wanting more, with many continuing the party late into the night. With this year being the biggest party ever, both staff and students are eagerly awaiting next year’s event!

Facebook has been exploding with photos over the last few days. Visit our profile to see photos from the night! A big thank you to Lucy, Alex, Claudia and their team for organising such a fantastic night and to everyone who came along and made the event one to remember!
