Students on the Summer Business Certificate in Oxford visitied the Wychwood Brewery. These trips allow students to practice business English and learn about a new business. In this trip students were shown the brewing (manufacturing) process and told about how beers are sold. Students choose to study the course as preperation for a degree in business or to improve their business English for employment.
Onat, an intern at Oxford writes: “Last Saturday me and the students in the Business Certificate went to one of the famous breweries in Witney. It was a nice experience to see how they produce one of the most famous beers in UK. In the production area all the equipment was hand controlled, not fully automatic. I was so surprised that they can produce 50.000 barrels a year. When I asked our tour guide about weekly production the answer was “If I start drinking 4 pints every day I would be able to finish 1 week’s production in 190 years” Woooowww !!! Drinking 190 years
Amazing!”
“It took us 20min to get there. It was that close to the Oxford but I didn’t know it. I would like to say thank you to Charles for organizing this business trip for us.”
“After the tour it was the time to try all the beers they have got. Much more variety of brews.. Hobgoblin, Brakspear, BlackWhyc, Green Goblin Cider. It was really nice to taste such fresh beers. I can wait to go there with my friends again!!!”
