London English School Activities – Chelsea FC Stadium

Bookmark and Share
Each school runs social activities for the students to see the city, explore the culture, socialize and have fun after a hard day’s study. It’s the best opportunity to practice speaking English as you are in a different environment and must use different vocabulary. You can also learn by speaking and listening to different students than you normally meet in class.

On Friday Claudia took the students to Chelsea FC for the guided stadium tour. Chelsea FC is located 4 miles away from the school in West London in the wealthy areas of Chelsea and Fulham, close to the River Thames. The guided tour included the changing rooms, the publicity room where all the television interviews take place, and the stands looking down on the pitch -- although noone is allowed to walk on the pitch itself. From the pictures it looks like they are laying a new pitch for the new English football season which starts in August.

Claudia, social activities organizer for London writes: “We had such a dazzling time, Helena has been one of the best guides in the stadium, very funny, I think she knows everything about Chelsea and its players!!!

The students sent funny videos to their friends from the stadium and also bought lots of souvenirs. Pictures were taken at the entrance, in the conference room and in the change room.”

We will be showing many of the student activities on the blog. To see what’s coming up take a look at the social activities calendars for London, Oxford and Brighton.
