Important Notes

  • Summer residence is only available for students who are over 18 years old.
  • Please note that rooms will be available from 2:00pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11:00am on the day of departure.

Slade Park Superior Summer Residence

At Slade Park all flats have been interior designed and fully furnished in contemporary style. All rooms are very modern, with your own private bathroom and internet access. In addition, there are excellent shared common rooms with comfy sofas and fully fitted kitchen facilities.

Room A comfortable and fully furnished in contemporary style room contains a desk and storage space for your clothes. Bed linen is provided. There is also your own, modern bathroom.
Cleaning Communal areas are cleaned weekly, but students are responsible for their own rooms.
Meal plans Self-catering: no meals provided, full use of kitchen facilities. Kitchens are modern and equipped with cookers, cutlery, cooking utensils and personal lockers.
Laundry There are special coin-operated laundry rooms for use.
Baths and showers All rooms are en-suite.
Telephone No telephone provided. Security intercom in each flat for entry from outside.
Internet access Free of charge.
Deposit Credit card details taken before or on arrival. Students receive a replacement item cost summary during orientation.
Keys Students are met by a BSC coordinator on arrival where they receive a room key and an electronic fob for the main entrance.

Location Located in John Garne Way, only about 10 minutes walk from Magdalen bridge and 15 minutes walk from Oxford City Centre.
Travel time 15 minutes by public transport or 25 minute walk (door to door).
Booking options Single room with en-suite bathroom.
Room A comfortable and fully furnished single study bedroom providing under bed storage, wardrobe, desk, desk chair and lamp as well as pinboards for posters. Each room has its own modern bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Bed linen is provided.
Cleaning Bed linen is changed once a week. Bedroom is cleaned at least twice a week (vacuuming, dusting, bins emptied, toilet roll check and en-suite bathroom cleaned). Kitchens and communal areas are cleaned at least twice a week. Students are responsible for their own washing up.
Meal plans Self-catering accommodation: no meals provided. Students have full use of kitchen facilities. Modern and stylish kitchen/lounge area is equipped with cupboards, cooker, oven, cutlery, cooking utensils, microwave, kettle, fridge, freezer, breakfast bar and a seating area with a coffee table. An iron and iron board are also available for the students to use in the kitchen/lounge area.
Laundry A laundrette is available onsite with coin operated machines.
Baths and showers All rooms are en-suite.
Telephone No telephone provided in the bedrooms. Payphone available at Clive Booth Student Village.
Internet access Free of charge high speed wireless internet access is available 24 hours from the Postgraduate Lounge, the common area located in the accommodation central courtyard.
Deposit A deposit is not required. However, on the first day at school students are required to provide credit card details as a guarantee in case of any damage caused to the property.
Keys Students are given a swipe card on arrival that gives them access to their flat and bedroom. A £5 charge applies for replacing lost/damaged swipe cards.
