Student Welfare, Safety & Protection
Student Services
Our Student Services Office is full of dedicated people ready to help with any enquiry – from advice on places to visit to opening a bank account to helping you adjust to a new country and culture. Whatever you need, our aim is to make sure you have the most enjoyable time at British Study Centres and in London. Our Accommodation Officers are here to help with any Student House or Homestay enquiry. We have a varied and interesting Social Programme for you to experience. We also have many staff members who can speak a number of other languages – just in case you need some help in your own language.
Health & Safety
We work hard to make sure your health and safety is provided for. We have regular fire drills and have comprehensive risk assessments for all areas of the school, as well as for all the activities outside the school. Our cafeteria staff have all met the required hygiene standards. We have staff members trained in First Aid to assist any students who are sick or need help at school.
Protection of Under 18 Students & Vulnerable Adults
We take the welfare of our under 18 year old students, as well as vulnerable adults, very seriously. We take steps to ensure that they know who the Child Protection Officer is, what the school rules are regarding curfew in our homestays, and what the laws are regarding minors in the UK. We also have a Welfare Officer who is available to talk to those vulnerable adults who may need extra help and care during their stay.
