Nicolas and Cristian, Colombia
Hi, we are Nicolas and Cristian and we are from Colombia. We are studying management in our country and we need to improve our English to finish it, so we came here to British Study Centres. If it is one of your goals, you should go to a country where native people speak English. The people here are very kind, especially in the school. You can meet people from other countries, learn about different cultures and enjoy a lot of activities with them. In the school, for example, you can play Xbox with other students or, if you have the opportunity, challenge the Director (he plays very well). If you love football then you can play at Littledown Sports Centre on a synthetic surface.
We have been studying for more than six months here at BSC and it is the best place for us. This school is a wonderful choice to improve your knowledge and enjoy Bournemouth with people of different nationalities. Also, Bournemouth is a very nice city with a lot of interesting activities and places, like the gardens, a beautiful beach, bars and pubs.
We would really recommend everybody to come to BSC to study English - with all its facilities you will have a really great time! You will have an amazing and incredible experience in one of the best cities and schools in the UK.

Mareike, Germany
Hello, my name is Mareike and I'm from Germany. I'm working for a American company where I need to speak a lot of English. The BSC School in Bournemouth was highly recommended by my very nice host family who are friends with my best friend in Germany.
My first impression of the school was very good and I felt at home immediately. The team was most welcoming and very friendly and helpful in many ways at all times. They have given me so much encouragement and have taught me to be more confident with my spoken English. The students were mixed with many different nationalities which broadened my horizon. Classes were always very informative and funny at all times.
I've used my yearly holidays to improve my language because it was my long time wish to spend time in England. Saidly, I could only stay for four weeks. But I'll continue speaking and learning English when I'm back in Germany. I promise!
One of the highlights every day was cycling to school through the beautifull Bournemouth gardens early in the morning. Another memorable time for me was my daily jogging on Bournemouth Beach where I ran all the way to sandbanks.
I'm looking forward to return to beautiful Bournemouth. To continue the wonderful times I had here.

Sebastian, Colombia
Hi there! I'm Sebastian Gil, I am 18 years old and I'm from the wonderful country of Colombia. I decided to take a 36 week course in a language school called British Study Centres where I had the goal of improving my level of English as much as I could. Eventually, I reached a great result thanks to my teachers, friends and Bournemouth people.
I was very fortunate, because I had the opportunity to choose England as the country where I was going to spent almost a year far from my family and friends. Also Bournemouth was a great choice; it is located in the south of England with its own beach and Pier and stunning places nearby. Many people complain about the weather, but that's what makes this place special – “you have no idea about when the rain will come”. Anyway, this was the first town where inside an old church you get the biggest nightclub in Bournemouth, where you find a pub in every corner, where every Friday a mixture of nationalities gathers to play football matches.
Within the school itself, you can find a very nice and modern atmosphere with spacious classrooms, a comfortable juice bar with the nicest people offering you coffee or tea, plenty of facilities for the students and all the help and attention you need to spend a harmonious time every day of the week. The teachers are all amazing, funny, creative and enthusiastic in every lesson. The variety of activities and tours helps students from different countries to know each other and sometimes make close relationships. All in all, there is nothing I will forget from this marvellous experience.
Finally, I would like to recommend for the future students, who are coming to Bournemouth and BSC that you must enjoy the most you can until the end and let new people touch your heart. Best wishes!!
Fanta, Senegal
Hi my name is Fanta. I'm 19 and I'm from Senegal! I've been studying at BSC for 6 months. It is a great experience. Before my arrival to Bournemouth, I was scared but when I arrived I saw that there was nothing to worry about. Personally I think Bournemouth is the best town in the UK. The weather is fantastic and also there is a lot of facilities for students. People are very polite and kind. In addition, the school found a great host family for me and I was like a member of this family.
My English improved quicker than I thought because at BSC there is a small amount of students in each classroom. Also, we have a free library and many other facilities. Teachers and all the staff are very friendly. They are always available for us.
There is a lot of activities such as Chatterbox to improve our English. They also give us a chance to discover England and have a great time with our lovely friends! In conclusion, British Study Centres us the best experience which I have ever had. My stay here is truly magical.
Maurizio, Italy
Hello, my name is Maurizio, I come from Italy. I worked in IT for a lot of years in my country. I think English language is the most important language for business and free time, so six months ago, when I decided to change my life, I planned to learn English to try new jobs experience abroad. At first I would stay in U.K. only to learn, but now I think I will stay for long time.
I knew and loved Bournemouth, it was my first choose when I had decided to come to England, it's an enjoyable town facing the sea with a perfect old and new English lifestyle mix. Here you can find nature, sea, friendly people and enjoy the nights in vibrant pubs and night club. If you like sports such as surf, jogging, football and others, you'll discover this town to be perfect for your free time. It's also easy to visit others places, near London, Bath, Stonehenge and others important sites reachable with public transport or organised trips.
When I arrived in Bournemouth I visited some schools, but I liked British Study Centres at the first look. The staff is very friendly and organised, helpful and serious, teachers are well prepared and always ready to help you. They spend good time with students. The school provides some facilities, and can help you to write a CV, socialise with others students, organising a lot of events, learning English habits and lifestyle. In the school there is a good study centre with computers and a software system that works online to improve your writing, reading and listening.
The school is situated close the central square, near shops, restaurants, gyms. You can go to the sea across the park walking two minutes.
Initially I didn't speak English, only the basic words, now I'm learning it day by day, I'm improving very well and the weeks goes fast. I'm spending quality time with my classmates and teachers, we're a team that work hard and happily every day. I go out often with my new friends, and we're taking this opportunity to speak English and have fun together. This is an unforgettable unique experience!
Laura, Switzerland
Hi, I'm Laura, I'm Swiss and I came to Bournemouth to improve my English. I didn't know Bournemouth before I came here, so I didn't know what to expect.
Anyway, when I arrived here, I received a warm welcome from both my host family and the school. I've been here for about four months now and still feel very comfortable. The whole BSC team is really open and interested in every student's well being.
Besides that, going to a language school makes it possible to get in touch and make friends with people from all around the world!
Young Yun Kwak, South Korea
Hello everybody. I'm Young Jun Kwak from South Korea. A few months ago, I decided to study English in Bournemouth. At that time I was very confused to determine which language school. But I'm sure that it was good choice to join British Study Centres, Bournemouth because there is plenty of culture and history such as Stonehenge, Christ Church, Jurassic Coast, Beach and even an Airport.
BSC Bournemouth is quite new school and everybody can enjoy studying with many other foreign students from all over the world in the comfortable class rooms.
Most of all, I like all the teachers and staff of the school because they always try to listen to student's opinions, problems, and continually check the progress of our English. In my case, I have been at the school for 5 months, so I have got a lot of experience which is lovely host family, friends of different nationality and cultures. Recently I went to a concert and was amazed that I actually enjoyed it. Also I have gained confidence in English with help at the school.
If I have a chance to give information about language school, I will tell anyone go to British Study Centres.
Tolga, Switzerland
Hello! My name is Tolga but everybody here call me TJ. I'm normally from Turkey but I've lived in Switzerland since I was born. I'm in an apprenticeship as a Logistics Businessman. I have to phone people all over the world, so I decided to improve my English here in Bournemouth at British Study Centres, because the most spoken language in the world is of course English.
I was searching for a place where I can learn English and also to have a great time for six months. Fortunately I found the best place that I ever could find.
Bournemouth is a beautiful city right on the sea and with a lot of schools, universities and of course parties! The best school here is British Study Centres. It's right in the middle of the City and near to everything like banks, restaurants, park, beach and shopping centres.
I'm learning perfect English every week from Monday to Friday, with a lot of fun with my friends and teachers. We're like a family. And at the weekends, we're doing every night special events and parties all together.
There's just one problem! The time is running out faster than everything. My three months are already gone but with full of funny and best memories. So don't stay just in front of your computer and think about how you gonna do this trip. Stand up and get ready for a time with a lot of new experiences and meet hundreds of new friends from all over the world. I promise you, you won't forget such a great time!
Stephanie, Germany
Hello everybody, I am Stephanie from Germany. I decided to improve my English skills by going on a language trip to England.
I love Bournemouth because it is mixed with a gorgeous nature all around with the New Forest and Stonehenge, but you can also have so much fun in the traditional pubs and clubs all around the city.
I visited Bournemouth for only 2 weeks but it was just an amazing time and the best choice I ever made. It was my first time on a beach and although I don't know many beaches I am sure Bournemouth has one of the most beautiful. It was the first trip on my own and I wasn't sure if the people would be nice or not. They definitely are! When you come to BSC you feel like home after a few minutes. All the teachers remember your name from the beginning and they talk to you as an individual and everybody is excited to know you. The lessons are anything but boring and you have fun all the time, so my skills improved a lot. I will not forget these experiences and all the people I will miss very much.
Jin Yee Min, South Korea
Hello, my name is Jin Yee Min from South Korea. I have been studying in Bournemouth for 25 weeks and so far I've had a great time!
When I first came here I was worried about making friends from other countries and had different looks and culture. But, not long after I came, I realised that every student has a warm heart and an outgoing personality.
Now I'm taking an IELTS course and my teacher has a lot of experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students. I am learning "British English" and IELTS skills and feel I've been studying everyday.
BSC Bournemouth left me with unforgettable memories and I can not forget my wonderful friends I have made here!
Viviane, Switzerland
Hi, my name is Viviane de Freitas, I am Swiss-Portuguese and I am 20 years old.
When you arrive at Bournemouth and come to British Study Centres, you will not need another thing. It is amazing! Our school is very good organised, with good facilities. Teachers are fantastic, they know exactly how they should teach us. I think in BSC we have a special connection between teachers and students, it's like a big family.
Bournemouth people are very nice, so lovely. They are the best English people I've ever met. If you are not sure where you will do your foreign exchange, then do not hesitate to come to the British Study Centres, Bournemouth. You will not regret it, I promise!
Jorge, Switzerland
Hi guys! My name is Jorge Rodriguez and I am Swiss-Spanish. I was born in Switzerland and I've been spending my whole life there. My parents come from Spain.
I speak about five languages but the worst one is English. I am here at BSC to improve my English skills. With the other Latin languages like Italian, Spanish or French I have not so many difficulties as in English. That's the reason why I decided to do this exchange.
I am here for just two weeks but I've learned a lot at school and also my host family. The teachers are very funny and well-skilled at the same time. The facilities are modern. You always have access to Wi-Fi, there is a computer room and a lovely 'Juice Bar' with excellent Paninis, where you can have lunch or something to drink. The people/students here are very lovely and friendly.
I can just recommend BSC to all young people who want to do an English course. Bournemouth is a nice place to be and there are a lot of pubs and discos. Once thing for sure, you will have an unforgettable time in Bournemout!
Johan, France
Hello! My name is Johan and I come from France. I am currently studying political science in Paris and I needed to improve my English skills and pass the IELTS test for my studies in the USA. The first time I arrived at British Study Centres, I wasn't so self-confident in my English abilities but everything is done to encourage the students by making the lessons interesting and underline the improvements as well.
The teachers are excellent and plenty activities are organized by BSC in order to socialize. Located in the centre of Bournemouth, the school's building is completely modern and the students can enjoy surfing on the web in the multimedia-area. Furthermore, a lot of restaurants, pubs and shops are situated around 5 minutes from the school by foot.
The accommodations are very good and I've lived in a host family with others students, spending awesome moments with them. Moreover, the more I meet new people and the happier I am! It is the reason why I've been overawed by the impressing mix of nationalities and I've met a lot of new people, experiencing their cultures.
Today I think I've taken a new step to my IELTS exam and I now really think I can gain my 7!
Michelle, Switzerland
Hi! I'm Michelle and I come from the German speaking part of Switzerland. I came to Bournemouth to improve my English knowledge as it will be useful for my upcoming studies as a lot of the literature is in English and as well as that I just love the language!
I am really happy with my decision to stay in Bournemouth. It's a perfect town for me, as it offers everything which makes life a bit sweeter. An endless sandy beach, beautiful, well looked after gardens and parks, many international restaurants, clubs with vibrant music, cosy coffee shops and various shopping facilities. Also, there are lots of marvellous places around Bournemouth which are worth visiting, such as Swanage, the Jurassic Coast, Salisbury, with its impressive cathedral, and not forgetting the wild countryside in the New Forest.
Additionally, the staff at BSC were always helpful and I'm going to enjoy thinking back on this experience.
Sébastien, Belgium
As an engineer, English is important not only in my daily work but also when I'm sent abroad for a project. In this case, I felt the need to improve my English to be more fluent in everyday situations. Staying 3 weeks in England is obviously the best way to achieve this.
BSC is a very good school. Everything is brand new, the classrooms are big and clean, there are computers available for the students. The teachers are very friendly. Forget the courses you have had during college, here the courses are absolutely not boring: sometimes we play a game, sing a song or go outside to practice what we have learned with people walking in the main street. The communication between students and teachers is excellent. I feel always free to ask a question whenever I need. And the staff is very friendly and helpful. They plan an extracurricular activity everyday. The school is located in the city centre. Personally, I love to be in the city centre, it's very convenient. E.g.: during lunchtime, all the students can grab a sandwich and go together to the central gardens to enjoy the sun (which it's not that unusual than expected!)
The accommodation is also a good point. I stay in the student flat in St Peter's Road which is located only 5 minutes by walk from the school. If you like to party, you will enjoy the student flat because it's right in the middle of the nightlife! There are so many nightclubs, pubs, bars... Whatever the music you like, you will find every kind in Bournemouth! You can't get bored in Bournemouth!
And for the weekend, I suggest you to make your backpack and set off for Cornwall. The landscape is breathtaking and it's the best place in England for surfing! Enjoy!
Eleonore, Italy
Hi, I'm Eleonore and I am from Italy. I have just got my degree in Languages and Foreign Culture in my country and I have decided to spend some time in Great Britain in order to improve my English.
I think that BSC is a really good place to study. Lessons are very interesting and fun, and you really have the possibility to practise the language speaking with you teachers and classmates. All people working at BSC are kind and friendly and absolutely available for what you need. Studying here you also have the chance to experience British culture, join up with a group of social activities like bike rides, trips and pub nights.
The school is located in the centre of Bournemouth opposite to a really nice park where you can have lunch and relax after classes. It takes you five minutes walking to reach the sandy beaches and the main shopping streets. There are also a lot of pubs, clubs and restaurants in Bournemouth, so there is no doubt you will enjoy studying here!
Andy, Malaysia
Hi, my name is Andy. I came from Borneo Sabah Malaysia and I am working as a Research Assistant in Sepilok Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre in Sepilok Sabah. Now I am in Bournemouth studying English. British Study Centres Bournemouth is surely a place you want to go for learning English. The environment here is warm with happy people and a great view of scenery. It just my 6th day here, I felt like I've never been far away from home. The people are so welcoming and there are multicultural people living side by side here in Bournemouth. You will feel welcome here.
The English school is located in Bournemouth town centre where you can access your basic needs from food to clothes almost everywhere. It's not really a big city so it's easier for newcomers to adapt this place. The school is keen to help you in advancing your English level and they will provide a well-trained and creative teacher to guide you. I personally say that you will never find a lesson like this back in your country because they want you to enjoy and having less stress during the class but at the same time you will gain the knowledge. There are a lot of activities, indoor and outdoor which is interesting and you also will have a chance to travel to some of the interesting place here in Bournemouth or even outside Bournemouth under the school supervision. Other than that the school also can manage a student accommodation during your staying here. So I guess there shouldn't be a problem for you if you want to go here.
The beach here is always waiting for you to come which is a great idea to do especially if you need a peace and relaxing. The weather is fantastic and it's suitable for all people around the world.
Fabrizio, Italy
Hi! My name is Fabrizio, I'm Italian and since I arrived I fell in love with fish and chips!
British Study Centres Bournemouth is a very good school with excellent teachers able to teach in a modern and operative way. Moreover the school is situated in a strategic area in the town center where there are lots of shops, bars, banks, and each service that you need. I live in a host family: in this way I can improve my English at school and at home as well! I suggest you that!
Lots of activities are organised by the school for us like trips, dinners, film club: it is a clever way to socialize with other students, exploring the English culture and the surroundings of this nice city!
Andrea, Switzerland
Hi All! My name is Andrea and I come from Switzerland. I just achieved the degree in Economics and in order to take the next step my university requires me to prove my English skills with one of the international certificates. Although I have been studying the language throughout high school, I felt like I needed to refresh and increase my fluency as well.
These are the reasons why I chose the TOEFL and IELTS preparation course and, already after a few weeks I get the feeling I can gain the score needed. The intense teaching programme linked to one-to-one lessons offered by BSC helps you not only to develop the fields you are weak in, but also to exploit the best from the knowledge you already have!
Marta, Italy
Hi! I'm Marta and I come from Italy! I have been in Bournemouth for 6 weeks! I'm here because I want to improve my English as much as I can, and I think that studying at BSC is a very good opportunity.
The school is very nice, it smells fresh and new! Everyone is very friendly and the teachers are so qualified! And another very important thing... the BSC school is in the town centre, so at the end of the lesson you can go in a coffee shop, or go around the shops, or... go to the beach! Because the beach is very close, you have only to go through the gardens, English beautiful gardens! And in the evenings there are lot and lot of bars, pubs and clubs where you can enjoy yourself! I promise you!
Adem, Turkey
Hi, I'm Adem, from Turkey. I came to England because I wanted to improve my english. I am currently studying political science at University in Turkey. When I first came here, I was quite nervous but British Study Centres Bournemouth helped me a lot. The school's facilities are excellent and it is the perfect choice for students wanting to study for internationally recognised certificates like Cambridge or IELTS.
Thanks to British Study Centres my english is further developed. Moreover, Bournemouth is a beautiful city next to the sea, and the students enjoy going out to the nightclubs, cinema, pubs, and restaurants. One of the first things you should try is swimming in the sea! There are a lot of different nationalities in the school and you can talk only in English. As a result, I made many friends. Bournemouth is doubtlessly a town that I would recommend to people who want to learn English in the UK.
Rapeephan (Amm), Thailand
I'm Rapeephan, but you can call me Amm! I come from Thailand. I study engineering at the University of Nottingham, and I've stayed in the UK for 1 year. When I study at University, I found a lot of problems with my language. First of all, I can't understand the whole of the lecture in the class, secondly, I can't speak English very well which is because of my accent. In my opinion, this is a big problem which is mostly found in Thai students. From many reasons, I decided to study English to improve my language skill in the summer vacation this year.
I chose the BSC school because there are many branches around the UK and they have been teaching for a long time, it can be a guarantee the experience of teaching language.
Studying BSC school, I had the best course that I could find. The class was small and I could have enough opportunity to speak English all the time. I could also measure the progress made everyday. The teacher and staff of the school were wonderful. They were always available for the students. I felt the distance between teachers and students was very short. Studying was a very valuable experience for me. Moreover, I could exchange with lots of people, I made tons of friends who come from various countries. So, I have to speak English to communicate with them. That helps me to learn faster.
We do lots of activities in the school. But also, we have a chance to visit many famous places near Bournemouth with the school trips. These five weeks were the best time in my life.
I addition, I stay with my host family, they were so lovely and cheerful that I never felt homesick. They took care of me and did the best cooking for me. I also learn many things about culture and language from them.
Bournemouth has a nice landscape. There are many beaches and great views. The beautiful beach is located not far from the school. I like to walk and relax when I finish my class. People from here are very friendly and, I felt never bored with the beautiful town. Last, but not least, I want to say thank you school teachers and staff for their efforts, care and good treatment towards me. Thank you for giving me an absolutely unforgettable experience. This memory of this period of my life will always make me feel happy!
