Internships
An increasing number of students wish to combine their studies with practical work experience in sectors which are relevant to their previous studies or work experience.
Our work placement programmes give students the opportunity to undertake unpaid internships with UK-based companies in London, Oxford or Brighton. We can provide placements in the following areas: sales & marketing, IT, hotel & catering, hospitality, travel and tourism, office administration and retail.
Placement fee: £395.
Unpaid Internships
Unpaid work placements can be taken after completion of a General English course. Popular placements have included architecture firms and public relations, although we regularly place students in hospitality, office administration and travel & tourism sectors.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum level Intermediate
- Minimum age 18, maximum age 35
- Completion of a General English course (minimum 6 weeks)
- Completion of a candidate information sheet
- Full and complete CV in English
- Covering letter
- Passport photo
- Interview by telephone or in person once in the UK
Internships are not available to students from non-EU countries. However, if you obtain a General Student Visa you are allowed to work 20 hours per week and we can assist you through our Job Club in finding paid part-time work.
Placement Confirmation
Students will receive their placement confirmations once they have started their General English course. Sometimes students will be asked to attend an interview before they have final confirmation of their placement.
